History of Sheridan
Sheridan Specialties began with one man, Ray Hart, who had a vision to operate a company whose success was based on building honest relationships with chefs and restaurant owners. He began the company by supplying his customers with products that they couldn’t find from any of their other suppliers. Although Sheridan does now sell more common products for the convenience of our customers, our passion has always been, and will continue to be, finding the products that are new and exciting.
Biography of Owner, Ray Hart
Ray Hart began his career in the food industry by selling beef for one of the top rated meat companies in the greater Toronto area. After a number of years of hard work and dedication he found himself the number one salesman for this company. He built close relationships with his customers and they soon started asking him about products they were looking for but could not find elsewhere. Ray started a side business importing wild mushrooms and spices for his customers. Soon this business flourished into “Sheridan Specialties” – The Art of Fine Foods.
