Arctic char is a great choice for dinner tonight. Char has a mild, almost salmon like flavour coupled with a firm texture and nice fattiness. The skin on char is thin and delicate, which, when cooked crisps up nicely in a pan.
Char is a part of the Salmonidae family (which includes salmon and trout). Our char is sustainably farmed in Iceland and has the Ocean Wise seal of approval. You can feel good about eating this fish.

Soy Glazed Char
- 2 Arctic char fillets
- 2 tablespoons of unseasoned rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sodium-reduced soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
- 2 teaspoons liquid honey
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Place fish, skin side down, on parchment paper–lined baking sheet. Whisk together vinegar, soy sauce, ginger, honey and pepper; brush over fish.
Bake in 425ºF (220ºC) oven until fish flakes easily when tested, 8 to 10 minutes.
